A Müller-Thurgau that matures in the midday sun

Viàch is a Müller Thurgau from an ecosystem of its own, close to 700 m above sea level, with well drained, shallow, sandy soils origina ti ng from the disintegra ti on of porphyri ti c rocks, characteris ti cs that give the wine freshness and persistence. A pleasant place, like the aromas of its wines, reminiscent of white fl owers such as lily of the valley, jasmine and fresh mountain fruits such as Rene tt a apples and Kaiser pears.

The vineyard is a hymn to peasant ingenuity and tenacity. Recovered with a mallet and pickaxe from the mountain, it is a continuum of terraces and dry-stone walls that follow the twisted course of the ridge. It is the mountain that becomes a vineyard: the rows of vines, dense, serrated, never linear, weave a tailor-made dress over it.

Manual harvesting in the second ten days of September, soft pressing in an inert atmosphere, static decantation of the must, fermentation at controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks, lees aging for about 8 months

before bottling, bottle-ageing for about 6 months before selling.
